Thanks for the opportunity to download the liner notes for this highly anticipated release. First "Bakersfield," and now "The Big E." It's been an eventful summer for fans of classic pedal steel guitar. They always say good things come in threes. What will be the next album to complete this trifecta?

I have to say a BIG Thank You to Fish for taking this on & completing this project.
All I can say is WOW !!!!!!!!!!!!
What a great read I just love this part >
" Ry Cooder says, “I have no recollection of the
Longbranch Pennywhistle sessions, except for Buddy warming up
on Charlie Parker at triple speed. That I remember. The humbling
effect of watching him, that sensation is vivid.†Eagles founding
member Bernie Leadon recalls: â€Buddy self-edited. Other players
could be all over the map; they couldn’t edit themselves like
he did. What came out with Buddy was much more of a whole cloth. It was finished and you had the take.
But what Buddy was
playing in between takes—warming up, noodling—that’s what I
would be listening to. It was unbelievable.â€
As they say ENOUGH SAID !!!!

"Tone is in the hands. Unless your wife will let you buy a new amp. Then it's definitely in that amp."
We need to turn the TWANG up a little
It's not what you play through, it's what you play through it.
They say that tone is all in the fingers...I say it is all in your head
Some of the best pieces of life are the little pieces all added up..Ron
the value of friendship. Old friends shine like diamonds, you can always call them and - most important - you can't buy them.

Just Ordered
I just pre-ordered The Big E Salute CD from Amazon. Also ordered the Vince G. - Paul F. Bakersfield CD. and to the Supersaver free shipping from Amazon.com, I ordered the Lyle Lovett "Release Me" CD released in 2012 with the GREAT BUCK REID and PAUL FRANKLIN on it. I continue to learn...so when you purchase CDs on Amazon, the moment they are ordered, you can download the MP3 versions of these albums to the Amazon Cloud player free to your computer. Amazon provides the cloud player to download free. Love this technology. If only there was a way to download the steel players' talent on these albums into my DNA, brain and fingers, now that would be something!

Fish,
Great liner notes, you should win a Grammy for them in that category.
Loved reading up the the early history on the Big E. Glad I got to meet him when he was touring with the Everlys.
Got my Cd reserved. at Barnes and Noble. waiting for the call from them tomorrow.
Again, Bravo on a job well done!
