For Sale Gibson D8 Console ++ SOLD++

Post by Gary Meixner »

Thank you to everyone for taking a look. This guitar has been sold and is on it's way to it's new owner. Thank you Bob for hosting the Steel Guitar Forum, a donation on the way.

This is a nice Gibson 530 Console for sale. It was listed last week and I had a buyer who apparently changed their mind so it is available again.

The guitar is in good solid shape but has the typical scratches and nicks. The finished has some checking but not flaking. The nickel is dull but not pitted. The tuners all work and the pickups sound great. This model came with a boo-wah switch and stutter switch. Both work.

It has the original, non-adjustable, aluminum legs. There are several small holes drilled through the head stock where someone attached a pedal mechanism. The pedal is gone but the holes are hardly noticeable and do not effect the functioning of the guitar. The logo on the front is not original or the correct badge for this guitar.

The case is in good solid shape. It is worn a bit but looks fine and functions. The handle looks original and latches all work.

This is a very sweet sounding guitar and I hate to let it go - I just have too many.

I just figured out how the private message feature works on the forum so feel free to contact me through this or direct email. I am asking $500 plus shipping. Thank you, Gary Meixner

Gary, I'll take it if it's still available.

I like my 530 better than my console grande, although my conscience says I shouldn't. It just sounds sweeter to me. This is a sleeper, a really great steel.

A quick easy deal and the steel was exactly as described.
Thanks Gary!
