Well, I have been using my new Tribo-Tone for a couple days now and I must say it is the best bar I have ever had! Simply wonderful to use, no string noise and the actual sound of the the notes, on the low end and the high end is amazing! I can recommend these bars to anyone!! I am using the 'Y' model in white, slightly bigger than I am used to, 1" diameter, but forward and backward slants are so much easier with these bars! Good job, and many thanks to Eric Ebner who came out to our gig, and delivered my new bar personally!
Here is the link to the Tribotone web site.

So, is his shop back up and running? His web site doesn't indicate that. I'm an owner of two of Eric's bars and love'em!

Terrific bar for electric steel. For acoustic, I use the Tribo for acoustic too but seem to gravitate to metal for just a little bit more high end, albeit more wound string sizzle.

I love tribotones too, and have been hoping he'd be back in business so I could get a Jerry Byrd model from him. Is he back in business, or was this one of the bars he had in stock.

He is still selling bars - if you email him at his web site I am sure he will let you know if he has the particular bar you want!

FWIW. - I emailed him weeks ago to see if he had any B weights left and never got any response so I figured he was done.

About a week ago I lost mine and I felt homeless without it. Crying or Very sad Whoa! Fortunately I found it again a few days later. Very Happy

I use it for everything; pedal steel, lap steel, Dobro. I'm thinking of getting another a bit heavier.

When it first came out I wasn't impressed with it, but it grows on you. It's also the only tone bar which won't freeze your hands in cold weather. It never gets as cold as a chrome bar often does.

I have a Tribotone bar and I love it. I use it on Lap Steel and 8 string Dobro. Eric is great to do business with too.

Me too Dale. I emailed him a few weeks ago about a B bar and didn't get any response either. I did find an update he made on Guitar Forum on July 3rd however. It doesn't sound like they are anywhere close to getting back in production. Here is the link http://www.guitarseminars.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=6802

Hope things go smoothly from here on. I want to get one of those tone bars.

Thanks for that link Dennis. Sounds like he's got a lot on his plate.

Been anxious to get a Tribotone, but I recently picked up an original Bakelite Black Rajah. I like the weight and size a lot and it's becoming my #1.

Still gonna be standing in line for a B weight when he gets back in production tho so I can see what all the fuss is about. Winking

Happy Trails
Dale
