Not Much JCH
I have noticed in my first month on the forum that you don't hear much about JCH guitars...Of course i'm asking because I play one! I love the guitar and don't know if I'll ever switch brands...Any thoughts????

They're great guitars. Just aren't many of them around. Is anyone building them for Jimmie these days? I haven't seen a new one in quite a while.

No one needs to build guitars for Jimmy, he is deep in production as we speak. After leaving Steel Guitar Nashville, I joined with Jimmy in production of the JCH and have been amazed by his dedication, attention to detail, and quality control.
Luckily, I am a quick study because Jimmy has quite a few orders to get to, and they will be out on time. This has been good for me, because I have never had to work on anything that had a tolerance of .0005 inches.....Jimmy works with thousandths like the rest of us work with 1/8ths. Unbelievable quality control.
Besides being one of the nicest and best people I've ever known, I get to work with..and learn from this great man...It don't get much better than this!
By the way, if, (between the two of us), we can't make a push-pull right...you need to give it all up...yes, Jimmy's taking repair orders for JCH(factory warranty) or Push-Pull's as of right now.

I talked with Jimmy about two months ago and he is doing well... I bought two of the new and imroved fretboards and made my guitar all that better. yes he is perfectionist to the thousandth.... He let me hear Buck playing the new model over the phone best ma bell ever sounded! Great guy, great guitar!
I play a D-10 that is 9 and 8. who ever had this guitar before me knew what they were doing...All those changes I had been searching for are on this guiitar..the thing that blows me away is the tone..I run a session 500 but I have never had an ax that requires so little EQ. i run the bass at about 8 but outside of that everything else with the exception of the shift(800) is at zero no dialing in the lows or highs just zero. it's all guitar!!!I was playing the other night and got so swept up in my tone i forgot where I was for a second... Could it be that good tone is better than sex?? Hmmmmm!!!

Great to see you working with Jimmie, Jeff. Besides being a master of the instrument, both as a player and a builder, he has been a dear friend for 30 years.
As for Jeff, well, we've been friends for the same amount of time, and I think this is a great match. Jeff does fantastic work, as witnessed by all the great work he did for Bobbe when he was working there. I gave hem my 1970 Emmons for a full restoration job that he is in the middle of, and believe me, I sleep well at night knowing it is in his hands. He is also cleaning up my 79 Emmons that Jimmie built for me with his 10x10 setup, which will be going on the market soon. It will be replaced by a new JCH that I am glad Jeff will have a hand in building.
Congrats on the "merger", guys. It will be a good one!
