Up for y'all's consideration is a custom built Carter D-10, with 10 pedals and 5 knee levers. This is a mid-late 90's guitar (based on features I've seen on other Carter instruments from that period) and is in excellent condition. I believe this design mica was called "burl mahogany."
I recently changed strings and lubed the undercarriage, and the guitar plays quite smoothly, as did all Carter guitars. It's a non-BCT model. There's a GeorgeL E-66 in the E9 position and a GeorgeL 10-1 on the C6.
The E9 copedent is straight Emmons on strings 1 through 3 and the knee levers, and pedal 10 is the "Mooney pedal," raising string 4 E-F# alone and operated by the right foot; the C6 has the standard C6 changes on pedals 4 through 8, and pedal 9 lowers both A strings to Ab.
I think there are enough rods/bellcranks to make a Franklin pedal, but the C6 neck would have to be re-rodded to accomplish that and I'm not into doing it at the moment. I'll leave that up to the future owner if he/she is so inclined.
It has a standard Ozite covered case that we're all familiar with, in excellent shape. The volume pedal is not included, BTW.
I acquired this guitar from the son of the original owner, who recently passed away. This is a great sounding and playing guitar, for which I'm asking $2195, plus shipping. PayPal purchasers will pay an additional 3%.
I will be on the road until July 8 (Denver Steel Show; then MMMurphey gigs), and the transaction can be completed upon my return.

Son, we live in a world with walls, and those walls have to be guarded by men with steel guitars. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Lt. Weinberg?

Herb my student found a steel in the local area, thanks for the contact.
I am a PP player to the bone BUT I have owned 2 of these and they play well, light weight.
The price is right on the money.
Just saying

Speaking of weight. Herb, do you know its weight out of the case?
Also, I still don't understand what the Franklin pedal does or where it goes? If anyone would care to enlighten me, I wouldn't feel so stupid and alone.

The guitar in the case weighs 60lbs. At the moment I don't have the guitar set up, but I'd estimate it to be in the low - mid 40's.
However, due to the many email questions about the guitar but no takers, and the adding the fact that I've got enough gigs to keep me busy while in the midst other pressing personal matters, I'm taking the guitar off the market for the time being, unless easily sold to a local picker.
It's simply a time thing. I haven't had opportunity to get the guitar boxed and weighed for shipment, so I don't yet have shipping information for the potential buyer.
My apologies to the guys who've asked for information that I've been too overswamped to provide for them. I will contact them again when time allows.
For the time being my plates are full, but in a brief while I'll be listing the guitar again.
