Pair 15" Cabs BW 1501 DT's

Post by Jerry Overstreet »

Pair Steel Guitar 15" speaker cabinets loaded with Black Widow 1501-4Ω DT. App. dims. 22 1/4, 22 1 1/2" tall, 18" wide, 12" deep. $425 + S/H.
Reasonably good used condition. Some fuzzing and pilling of the coverings and a few nickel sized places patched and blended. Powder coated hardware has scrapes, dings, etc. as you would expect from handling and gigging.

Similar, but not identical in design, covering, grilles, hdwe. etc. Peavey metal glide feet added to both.

Speakers are 90's issue 1501-4Ω DT models. Deep Throw baskets, not current issue. See pics. The one with the black center magnet is covering the screen where the original foam was removed.

I bought both of these cabs new in the early 90's. The TW cab was in the big MosValve rig I bought from Ronnie Neighbors in St. Lou.
The MK IV, I commissioned from Kenn and Dann Rollans shortly after that. It was one of the first ones they built.

Below, Mark IV, Steeler's Choice cabinet. Charcoal grey carpet covering.

TubeWorks cabinet original tight ozite w/ PV glides. Same as the ones Herby used. White spot in center from some dried substance, could have been gum, I don't know, but I'll try to clean it off.

I take USPS money orders or a personal check if you want to wait for clearance.
PM with interest, questions, etc. They're not with me right now, but I can get other pics if desired when I see them again.

As always, preferred and priority given to face to face deal. We can meet somewhere for a cash in hand deal if in same region and split shipping costs. Pick 'em up here and save all the shipping costs which will be substantial, probably around $50-55 ea. pc. My recent shipping experience is showing well over $1 a pound FedEx or USPS plus insurance costs.

speakers alone

Post by Jerry Overstreet »

I've been asked about selling the speakers separately. Reluctantly I will, but only as a pair. Here's a recent ad for the speakers only: http://bb.steelguitarforum.com/viewtopi ... t=speakers

In the event the speakers sell separately, only then would the cabinets be available for $275 for the pair plus the shipping etc.

You can see the better deal is for the whole pkg. even considering the high cost of freight.

Hello Jerry , I'd like to buy one of the speakers minus the cabinet, if one's available f/s. Thanks

All still available. Although it's noted several times in the ads, I'm not sure everyone understands that these speakers are not current issue shallow basket models. They are steel guitar speakers, however.

I repeat, these are Peavey's BW older long frame DT [deep throw] baskets from the 90's. They are 4 ohm speakers, 1501 designate, and voiced for steel guitar application.

There are panels for the backs for a closed cabinet sound. I have also used them like that for bass guitar, FOH and stage monitors in a sound system. They work well in all these areas.

I'm dropping the price for the loaded cabinets pkg to $400. all the actual packing/shipping/ins. charges to be paid by buyer. That's $100 ea. pc. if you buy the package and $175 less than the speakers/cabinets if I sell them separately. Cheap enough. If they don't sell at that price, just let them slide off the page.

OK, shoot me an offer. I'm not picking up the freight though. I know it's high, but I got no control over that.
Better if we can meet somewhere for a cash deal.
