This very logical advice came from Mr. Larry Bell on another thread:
"I've said it before -- WATCH BUDDY EMMONS. He's as fun to watch as he is to listen to. His technique is as close to impeccable as it gets and he's tried EVERYTHING."
So, is there a good video available of Mr. Emmons playing?
Thanks,
Tony

Tony,
You can get "Hal Rugg and Buddy Emmons Live at Bell Cove". It's about 1 1/2 hrs long and was taped about a year ago.
www.halrugg.com or www.NTSGA.com .
[This message was edited by Bob Knight on 16 May 2003 at 08:30 AM.]

There are several.
The most recent Buddy+Hal Rugg at Bell Cove is probably the highest quality sound and picture (thanks to Joe Wright). NTSGA offers this one and others, at http://www.ntsga.com/id15.html .
Others can be found at http://www.buddyemmons.com http://www.scottysmusic.com http://www.frenchyspedalsteel.com
Hope this helps. You'll love 'em.

Tony, The Emmons/Rugg video is a must have if you are an Emmons fan. There is also a video recorded in 1986 in St. Louis that is good. Buddy was excellent on that video. He plays a wide vatiety of styles and it also has Bobby Caldwell on lead guitar. Go to www.buddyemmons.com and Ernie will have both of them. The videos are around $35 each but well worth the money...Paul King
