Arm Rest on Zum Encore?

Post by Pete Nicholls »

I know there are a number of Encore's out there now, and would have already ordered one myself if they had it as an SD-10.

Can anyone with the clip-on arm rest tell me how it compares with an SD-10?

Pete: My first Steel had a pad. Carter SD10. I got use to the pad. When I ordered my Zum Encore I got the Pad, and love it.

Thanks Mule, that looks encouraging. Might help correct one of my bad habits of having my right arm too far away from my body as well!

Pete...Please keep in mind that even with the pad installed, you may have to adjust your seating position slightly when changing from an SD-10 to an S-10 due to the fact that the knee lever location has changed. Some make this transition easily, for others it proves more difficult.

I love the pad & Pete's comment about correcting a bad habit,I think is true...something about this guitar has definitely improved my picking & the guitar for me,is,possibly, more comfortable than the SD.this guitar is great !
