Some early MSA Classics had very narrow pickup chambers, so much in fact that even a 'narrow mount' pickup would not fit. If the opening will accomodate it, I have a Truetone narrow mount ten string pickup available in as new condition.

Oh, that's right, the OP is probably looking for a 10 string model.

I have one of those early '70s MSA guitars of which you speak, and you are correct. It won't fit most aftermarket pickups without modification.
