Anyone have any info on this guitar. It has a letter of "encouragement" to the owner, handwritten by Jerry Byrd. Again, this is from the estate and i am trying to get a value.

I recently bought an Excel JB double 8 in excellent shape with case for $750. A D8 recently sold buy-it-now on ebay for $550! Typical asking price for a D8 seems to be $850-$950. I have not seen single 8 models for sale. I would be interested in buying a S8, particularly if it is 24.5 in scale.

About pricing.................
Several years ago I purchased a dbl-neck non-pedal orange mica Excel..........from an estate.
I paid $750.00 for mine but got a whole lot of extra
instructional manuals and rhythm tapes. The case is really great; one of the best I've seen.
