Gorgeous teal Derby D-10 8+4 for sale

Post by Silvio Bello »

For sale: teal mica Derby D-10 with 8 pedals, 4 knee levers

• This steel really has a tremendous "voice": bright, punchy, rings out big time
• 8 pedals (Emmons setup, then 5 standard C6 pedals)
• 4 knee levers in a non-standard setup (see copedent below)
• Triple raise/double lower changer
• Metal necks
• Tunable split screws on all strings, both necks
• Spring tension adjustment screws on all strings
• George L E-66 humbucker pickup on both necks
• Several changes lack sufficient travel to achieve changes, and get overcranked and out of tune: 9th string lower on RKR; 10th string lower on LKL; pedal 8 changes on C6; it's pretty simple to fix those by moving a pull rod higher on a bell crank, or to a better changer hole, but I'm short on time and must leave that to new owner
• Small cosmetic mar on fretboard finish at fret 2, see photo
• Hard-shell case in excellent condition, including legs and rods sleeve
• Serial #0182

Price is $2350.00 (discounted $150 due to adjustment needs, missing LKR), includes shipping. It will be expertly packed.

RKL: lowers strings 4 and 8 to D#; also lowers C6 string 3, C to B
RKR: lowers string 2 to D; lowers string 9 to C#; raises C6 string 4 A to A#

Hi,
I've had a couple of inquires about this steel.
Jack Goodson pointed out to me that the bracket for the knee lever is there. It looks like the original owner had a LKR,but decided to have a vertical lever instead.I'm not sure, because there are no other rods for that knee in the undercarriage.(Any help/ideas would be appreciated)Thanks all!
Also, this steel sits 27" from the floor to the bottom of the cabinet.
Thank you.
