I don't especially like to crow about what I have in my collection of musical stuff -but I have to show off my new/used Rains . I purchased this guitar from a gentleman on the Forum , and sent her to Gary Carpenter - Rains Steel Guitars - for a "tune-up" , a new "Retro" style fretboard , a genuine leather "loafer" pad ,and the upgrade that he does on some of the older Rains . . He did all this work ( called me 5 or 6 times to let me know how it was going )and shipped it back to me for less than it would cost me to go up fishing in for Canada for a weekend ! ! It plays like a dream , and sounds as good as she looks ! Thanks Gary ! - There's a story about getting up to the creek for the shoot ,the worst part was crossing the rain-slickened ,mossy bridge ! I had visions of slipping off and landing in the water with my baby on top of me ! ! Hope you enjoy these pics - Thanx Franko

Love my Rains....sometimes I wonder what it would be like to have something else.i've played pretty much all Sho-Buds,Marlens,a GFI SD10 Ultra & one Mullen since I started in 1975.i can only afford one @ a time...right now it's a Rains SD10-4x5 & i'm pretty doggone happy with it...Gary & Curtis make you feel like an old friend.
