keep both if you can
I have both a Sho-Bud Professional and a GFI Ultra single neck with pad. I love them both and play the Bud when I am feeling strong and the GFI when my back is hurting. Some differences in tone but I like both of them I would suggest keeping both if you can and you will never regret it.

Hi Bob,
I traded my Sho Bud LDG for a GFI Ultra SD10.The bud was lirerally dropping to bits from 30 years regular use.I like you was aprehensive but I need not have worried -the GFI is awesome -tone and sustain (particularly the 3rd string sustain)and note separation is far superior to the bud, stays in tune better and is far lighter too.I did put in a Wallace Trutone (cos I prefer singles to any HB)and she sings like a nightingale !!Go for it.
Regards Dave
