Machine tuners

I am thinking of buying a GFI student model 3x4. According to the company's website, this particular model comes with "Ping" tuners. I have heard + & - comments on other musician websites. Anyone in the steel community care to comment as I would rather spend a little more to get the Grovers if there is a real significant improvement. Than you very much for your input.

I have an Ovation Balladeer with Pings. Never had a problem. They seem as good as anything else.

i've got pings on a strat and one (!) on an emmons. they're fine. they make different styles.
