Mk. Steiner was playing a S-8 at an Austin Steel Guitar Coop meeting:

And Mr. Jernigan played a set at the TSGA 2013 Rick Alexander Non-Pedal Room:

I'm just wondering if they used a fully conventional C6th tuning or something a bit quirky?

Doug used Carco's guitar which is tuned to C6th with a D on top.

Herb also uses a D on top, I think it was:

D
E
C

G

C

Both artists are super awesome players and it was an honor to have them at the Non-pedal sessions!

David,

Doug is playing Carco Clave's Fender. It is straight C6 and I believe it is 10 strings. I don't remember for sure. (that's my shiny forehead above the bass, BTW)

**Edit***Looks like Jeff and I were posting at the same time.
