From the ped rod connection to the end of pedal(towards heel)on my new Emmons measures 2 3/4" .
I'm bumping the rod connector with my toes constantly, and so did the guy who owned it before me, according to the wear on the connector. Going from A/B to B/C is tuff. I don't like playing with my foot pulled back on the tip of my toes. Playing with cowboy boots sure would be impossible. I'm already looking at converting to other pedals. Has anyone else ever dealt with this? Any comments would be appreciated. Ron

I had the same problem with my Emmons and Derby steels.
With the pedals being so short I couldn't tilt my foot enough to
just hit either the A or B pedal by themselves without hitting
the other pedal half the time, also the action was much harder.
The Rittenberry's and Mullen's are 3 3/4" and are perfect for me.
Smooth and easy pedal action is a must for an old man like me.

Emmons
Go to U-Tube and look up Bill Sutton. He doesn't seem to have a problem playing his Emmons even with his cowboy boots on!
