Todd, download, install, and run CCleaner. Then download, install, and run Malwarebytes and let me know if it is better.

I have the same problems, but only for the past few weeks. It only seems to affect some sights but not others, so I am fairly certain it is not my computer. Anyone else having similar problems? |

Modern malware is often designed to use your computer for the purposes of the owners of the malware. Sometimes, those purposes are to use your CPU for intensive calculations needed to earn BitCoins for criminals. Other times, they use botted computers as part of a DDoS network, to bring down legitimate websites (or governments) that they have a disagreement with.
This is why I recommend using both CCleaner and Malwarebytes, in addition to the best anti-virus program you can possibly afford, in addition to operating with less than Administrator privileges. _________________ "Wiz" Feinberg, Moderator SGF Computers Forum

I run disk cleanup and defrag about every two weeks or even weekly sometimes and it keeps my computer runnin pretty smooth longer before you have to do more. |
