If you had only 1 D-10 forever; What?

Instruments, mechanical issues, copedents, techniques, etc.

I am sure this question opens up all the worm cans. So if you only had one choice what would you get or design... You may have it now too of course.

Hmmmmmm....If I only had one D-10 forever? I'd probably commit Hari-Kari with a thumbpick if I couldn't have a S-12.... Image

Ok Ok I will open the topic up a notch... most likely a very BIG notch. Image If you had to have only 1 PSG for the rest of your playing days....?? I really am interested in the replies. Since I recently purchased another Emmons, to which my wife reminded me, that this guitar would be about the 15th "Last Guitar I'll ever want honey". Image

It would have to be an Emmons for me.

I'm with Jerry on the D-10 thing. First thing I'd be figuring out is how to move a couple of tuning keys and changer fingers to the front neck. The brand would be either Emmons or Fessenden. Hopefully, it doesn't REALLY HAVE TO BE a D-10. Image

There is no D-10 made today that has all of the features I'd want. I'm hoping that steel guitar technology will continue to advance in my lifetime.

That said, if I had to choose, I'd go with a Sierra Session keyless.

I was contantly looking for a Williams, and still think it's a great steel, but since I got my Sierra Session, I'm a happy camper...
THIS one I'll hang on to, so I also agree with b0b....Jim

For years and years my answer would have been one of my PP Emmons, but you'd be hard pressed to get either of my current Fessenden's away from me, now. That's what I'd take...

Between GFI and Push Pull Emmons, the GFI wins every time I have to carry my gear any distance.

Little Buddy... actually, two Little Buddies clamped together, since you asked about D-10s.

Are we dreamin here, or are we talking of what we can afford???

If we are dreaming.......Zum..laquer.like the new one John Hughey has, exept red instead of blue,12 on top ext E9 ,10 on bottom C6,9 floors,6 knees,maybe7,or 8,.
Also maybe a couple months personal tutoring from Mr. Hughey,or maybe Randy Beavers.Watched those two at Saluda last weekend and got confused just watching/listening.

Well, if I could only have one guitar my first choice would be my Mullen D-10 but my GFI would be a close second.
