I bought this neat little lap last week, i cannot however seem to be able to identify the maker. No logo, no info at all. The only thing that may be of help is the serial number, which is #49425. Naturally this is the place to ask, so does anyone happen to know anything about this one?

Was that piece on top added on? Doesn't look like the same finish color or wood species.
