Peavey Renown 115 BW

Post by Eddie D.Bollinger »

I just acquired a 1983 Peavey Renown
with a 15 inch Black Widow. The amp is in
good shape. Mike Brown of Peavey said the
115 Renown is an amp that Lloyd Green has held in high regard. I got into it fairly
cheap so I feel pretty good about my trade.

Has anyone used the Renown with the 15 inch
BW? Mike says maybe 100 were made.

I ordered one of these from a small music store in Powell, Wyoming back around '83 or so. Used it for many years with no problems for steel and guitar with the channel switching footswitch.
I forget why I sold it?).
I suspect you'll like it. Image

Eddie, I just converted a Renown 400 212 over to a 115Bw and it's a knockout amp, espectially in the studio ...It's pretty heavey, a cousin to the Session 500....The conversion wasn't too difficult and the volume is certainly sufficient for any size club. I think you'll like it. FRED
