WI: Dairy State Steel Guitar Show

Post by Craig A Davidson »

This is our twelfth year and it will be March 15-17. This may seem like short notice but I don't have to bump it as many times. Joe Wright will be our guest player along with about 26 others. Interest on here was minimal last year so I just kind of let it slide.

I had a great time there, wish I had more time to visit with everyone. The Canadians were great along with the Iowans', the Wi people......well they were good also. The Wisconsin show is a great show, great location and people come from all over just to hang for the weekend at a steel show. Well I had fun playing behind a bunch of the steelers, and visiting with the crowd. We had fun anyway, however you want it, we'll throw it at ya. Had some great people from Michigan drop by for the weekend.

The show was great and this was our fourth time attending it. Joe Wright's act is something to behold and I mean that as a mega compliment. What a picker & entertainer he is. Also, kudos to all the organizers and house band members.

Roger, thanks to your good wife warning us about the impending storm on Sunday night we Canadians made it past Minneapolis on our way home before the storm hit big time. Hwy 94 was closed for a day and a half west of Alexandria. At least we didn't have to drive the Minne bypass on bad roads.

Looking forward to next years event. :D
