Topic: Good C6 Course For Backing Up Live? |

My new band is doing a lot more western swing stuff and my limited bag of tricks gets emptied pretty fast!
I'm looking for a new or old course that has lots of good fills, licks and runs that can be used in any song. I don't care about learning melodies which most courses seem to focus on?
I did see Gregs nice work on C6 on E9 but I do like to keep the 2 apart.

| I spent a small fortune on learning materials and the two best (in my opinion) for C6 were Buddy Emmon's Basic C6 and Jeff Newman's two C6 DVDs. |

Two suggestions come to mind:
1) The song tutorials are chock full of phrases you can slice out and use as individual licks, don't overlook them
2) I've not checked out Greg's stuff, but most of the C6 on E9 stuff can also get played on C6
I also am inclined to think that the keeping things mentally separate might actually shortchange you a bit

Mentally shortchanged I already am. That's the problem, LOL.

I got a new course from Doug Jernigan while I was in Dallas - 100 C6th Licks ..tab book and CD which looks to be very interesting indeed

I called and emailed. I'll see if anyone is running the site.
Are there any other resellers for Herby's courses? Scotty, etc?
