1) Yes I am a big Mike Sweeney fan. Been to Bootcamp, had a couple hundred Coronas downtown watching and listening.
2) I've got no dog in this hunt. Just helping with Skype set up and generating a little interest for a friend. Nuff said!
Last night we did a test run on Skype. It was flawless! I saw and heard everything clearly. He had the same experience. This deal is up and running and is ready for bookings!
I did break the cardinal rule of "Lesson takin" ...............didn't use my recorder when we were running through a few things while checking out the system.
Please remember to record your lesson! You will have trouble retaining all of the goodies that will be coming at you! (you'll thank me later!)
"And here's something we hope you'll really like!

Thanks Greg for all the kind words and for being my "guinea pig" on the Skype set up! I was really surprised how easy and fast it was to set up and get going! You're right, I'm ready to get this thing going! Who's going to be the first to book????

I did 5 days of Mike's pedal steel guitar boot camp in Nashville a few years ago, and let me tell you - it's one of the very smartest musical moves I've made. Mike had a sixth sense for what would help my playing, and did it without ever being pushy or preachy - the only pressure is the pressure of self-motivation. Being able to do this on Skype - well, I just don't see how you could go wrong.
I teach at a large state university for a living. When we have an intensive short-course to help students get up to speed quickly on critical skills that are difficult and require intense focus (think abstract math, computer languages, and so on - I'll let you infer the analogy to pedal steel guitar), we often call it a boot camp. There are different kinds of stress. To the uninitiated, trying to pound a lot of understanding under short time-pressure - the term boot camp surely fits, as it does here. OK, OK - this is a lot more fun than a math or military boot camp - but I still think the name fits.

Email coming at you!
Mike, I'll email you in a bit and get a session set up. I'm sorely lacking in my use of B&C pedals. And that is just a starting point. I can't believe I even bought a steel with all that stuff on there, as little as I use it. Be in touch.

Dave -- Thanks for the kind words and let me say that it was a pleasure having you here! I hope your Franklin is still performing at optimum levels. I am looking forward to talking to you soon!
Dick -- I'll be more than happy to help you any way I can. We'll get you going with those pedals!
Thanks guys!

Friends, I sincerely encourage everyone to take advantage of this great opportunity to learn from one of the best steel players in Nashville in a one on one setting. I have been playing for many years and Mike got me out of a rut and opened up so many new ideas and ways of thinking when I play.
Trust me, your time and money will be well spent increasing you knowledge, technical abilities and vocabulary. I learned more C6th in an hour than I have in 40 years! Mike is a great teacher with a lot of patience and not a drill Sargent. You can teach and old dog new tricks. Book your session today I think this is going to be huge!
Best wishes Mike, and many thanks. I look forward to our next session!

Mike Sweeney and The Bootcamp
Hello everyone, I just finished my first session of steel guitar bootcamp with Mike, wow. I encourage anyone who wishes to expand their PSG knowledge and skills to sign up. Mike is a fabulous teacher. He helped me more in the first 15 minutes than anything I've done in almost two years. I can hardly wait for the next round. As a teacher myself, I understand how important it is to not only show how something works, but also explain why. Mike does that as well as he plays, and that's rare.
Have a great day, and Thanks Mike !
