Passing of Bob Schlegel

Post by Jack Stoner »

I just received the sad news from fellow Florida Steel Club member Jim Price that Bob passed away Saturday, 3/9/13. I don't have any other info at this time. Jim Price may have more info tomorrow evening at the club jam.

Bob was a long time member of the club and he will be missed.

I will miss Bob.
He was a great guy and fun to be around.
He would always give a helping hand if he was asked.
Since Bob joined the steel club I don't think he missed more than a handful of times.
He had his reserved spot in the front corner next to the stage that he liked.
A dedicated player and friend.
May God bless you.

I also extend my condolences. I knew Bob from the very first meetings that he attended. Always a smile and plesant conversation. Bob was a dedicated
pedal steel musician.
He always seemed in good health to me. I am shocked and saddened at the news.

Anna and My Prayers go out to Bob and his family. I never met Bob and I guess I missed out on meeting a fine man and steel player.

Bobby was a dear friend and will be missed greatly. Always enjoyed our time together. He was a great kidder and always had a joke to make you laugh. We will miss him a lot. Bobby is with the Lord. Our prayers go out to Carol and family.
Blessings,

I am very sad to hear the news about Bobby. I just saw him in January. He asked me & DD to sit down and have dinner with him at Catfish Johnny's. I'm very proud to say he was a close friend. Our prayers go out to his family.

Bobby's church family did him proud today. The service was beautiful, touching, humorous, and told of a man dedicated to his family, church and friends. I only wish I had spent more time with him, besides the once a month jam, to get to know him better.
May our Lord Bless Carol and family and help them deal with their loss.
P.S. Jim Price gave us some fine music on his steel.
AND, the ladies of the church provided a wonderful buffet after the service.
The difference between a musician and a savings bond is eventually the bond will mature and earn money.
