Anyone wanting a Rogue EA-3 lap steel, with legs and gig bag . . Musician's Friend is running them today as their "Stupid Deal of the Day" for $69.99. Definitely not a quality guitar, but the parts & legs may be worth it.

I was thinking of grabbing one for the legs. Anyone happen to know if they're standard sized threads?

As a purchase incentive, those legs with the setscrews are definitely not what many would call "steel guitar legs." And as steel guitars are pretty far off MF's ordinary path, it doesn't really fit into the category of a loss leader that's going to induce you to buy other stuff? What I mean is, I think they're still making money on an $70 steel guitar.

Too late - it sold out before 9:00 am Pacific time.

It has been replaced by a different Stupid Deal (Restock Cordoba Cordoba Fusion 14 RS Cutaway Acoustic Electric Guitar Natural).

I have one of these. I think if I could attach a handle to it, it would make a good cricket bat.

Thanks all.

(This will also save me any unforeseen impulse to take up cricket.)

From another perspective, I don't know how many are stocked at the deal price, but there are that many people anxiously awaiting their (probably) new entre into steel guitar. The more the merrier.

I think this is the model that they used to sell for $39.95. So they are making some profit.
