Please look at the following tuning from the Carter site . . .
http://www.steelguitar.com/askbud/askbud19.htm
Can anyone please explain to me how to simulate Pedal 6?
I don't understand, "The Pedal 6 equivalent is acheived by engaging LKR, while releasing RKL."
Am I missing it?
Any help with this would be outstanding!
Thanks in advance,
Nick

There's a typo.
It should say RKR instead of RKL.
RKR puts you into the 6th mode by lowering E's to Eb (and D# to C#).
LKR gives you a D on string 8, and (by releasing RKR) an E on string 4 (P6).
The second string change on LKR is your D# to D lower in E9th mode.
So LKR can be used in both E9th and B6th (as pretty much any change on any pedal/lever can be, on an S12U).
This looks like a nice setup!
The "reduced instruction set" if you will. <FONT SIZE=1 COLOR="#8e236b"><p align=CENTER>[This message was edited by Pete Burak on 12 February 2003 at 10:03 PM.]</p></FONT>

OK, I've got one more question.
For the tuning shown . . .
http://www.steelguitar.com/askbud/askbud19.htm
. . . does anyone see a change where I might need a split.
Perhaps string 4?
Thanks again for all your help!
