with Steel guitar in hand...What can i expect nowadays at the 'check in for flight' with a 70lb steel in a case for additional weight expenses??
I'm not taking anything else, got wardrobe over there, hopefully i haven't lost any weight! _________________ A.K.A Chappy. |

Larry,
Get on the airline's web site and learn all about payment for extra weight. As I remember the last one I had to pay 50 euro for 1 extra piece of luggage. Most airlines allow only one checked piece. I paid on the web site and got it a bit cheaper.I have taken steels to England and Norway and it went just fine. If the service is available where you are flying out of, request at check in that you put the steel on the fragile belt _________________ BenRom Pedal Steel Guitars

Sounds good bent, it's been awhile since i flew out, things keep changing so i hear....I just bought a nice Black 'Mullen Discovery' from gary sill, so i think my back and wallet and my flight pass will be happier.
I shant sit on a wing seat and watch them throw it like i did my old 'Bud'...Knuckle heads!
Thanks for your reply my brotherman, i'll request the fragile belt. _________________ A.K.A Chappy. |

I used to spend my summers with my Uncle in Bristol when I was a young lad. I actually lived in Essex, and hope to make a trip home this year to visit family and spend a week in Wales. _________________ Justice The Judge SD-10, 2007

Best fish n chips are in Wales, just across the bridge in Chepstow, they have a place now that's just amazing and and some great spicy special curry sauce. My mate lives near the bridge so we go there everytime, and pay the TOLL Pete. Tom Jones Country.
Thanks Ken will do, now that i'm not carrying a D10, but a nice new S10 it should be less Discomforting.
Bob Dixon lives just up the road from me luckily for me, he's a good ole picker. _________________ A.K.A Chappy. |
