Perley Curtis, member of Maine Country Music HOF, played for Holly Dunn, Loretta Lynn, Charlie Louvin, and others. Very good musician/singer. Not sure what he's playing now, but whatever it is, it's played very well!

I cant believe I had never heard of the guy before but they said that name and I really had no idea.Sometimes I watch the live video they have up but usually you cant see the steel player so I just listen to it on the online radio.

I recently traded my previous steel for a Rittenberry SD-10 , i called Gary Rittenberry to see if he could tell me any history on the steel. He remembered it being built originally for Perly Curtis, date on the endplate reads 08/2010. There is another previous owner, then me. Anyways , i believe Gary said Perly wanted Gary to build him a D-10. Hope that helps a little.
