What's your favorite tab software?

Hi All,
Sharon and I have been using a grid I set up on Microsoft Word for writing out our tab, but we're thinking maybe we ought to look into some software so we can do it easier on the computer and make it easier to edit. What's your favorite?

ps I should add that we could use the grid I made on the computer but we tend to just make copies and do it by hand.

If I am playing somebody elses tab, I prefer Tsbledit or pdf.

If I am tabing something for myself, I like oversized regular tab paper or excel.

For, me what tab system to use depends on who is going to end up reading it.

Excel is excellent and you can get custom results fast. It's a world class formatting program. For the last few years I've ditched Excel for Open Office which finally is able to dupe most of the Excel stuff for free without any weird artifacts.

For pedal steel, I use Tabledit. It's the only music notation software that I'm aware of that supports pedal steel.

For most everything else, guitar tabs, scoring, orchestration, I use Finale. It's extremely powerful and versatile, but it's got a daunting learning curve. I have been using it for more than a decade, so I was able to hone my skills as the software got more specific and capable.

I downloaded the demo version of tabledit. How's the learning curve on it?
Have you used features like the chord chart?

Unless you are doing something really difficult it really straight forward to use TablEdit.
