Need a favor from owners of a Fender 800 / 2000 pedal steels
Anyone that owns an S10 800 or d10 2000 Fender pedal steel.. Would like a few guys if possible to put an ohm meter on their pickups and check the resistance, and let me know what you get.. I am having mine rewound and would like it close to original.. I think they were around 9 K,, but am no longer sure.. I would REALLY appreciate it... bob

not sure Jay,, I would think the longer pickup would influence the resistance... The 400 and 800 share the same body and frame, but both my 800 guitars sounded different from my 400... There may be some differences in the pickup " hotness" or lack therof... bob
