Anyone know where I can find these rubber pieces the crossbars stop on? In the pic the right crossbar has the piece I'm looking for and the left crossbar has it missing.

I found some plastic units that do the job on my MCI that I bought in a local hardware shop. I will try to post some pics on here this evening. The MCI ones are not made from rubber, but are metal. They are prone to rusting as indeed yours has.

At your local hardware store look for the sort of stick-on rubber feet you'd use for small furniture items etc. I have seen a sheet of 12 very similar objects, in several different colours and sizes, at Bunnings Hardware here in Australia, and you should be able to get the same items at a Home Depot or similar outlet.

It's sometimes a case of taking an ordinary object and putting it to use in a way you didn't think of before.

John,

If you're talking about the small brown piece that's visible:

I don't think that's a factory part on your MCI.

That's a rubber foot and they can be had at Walmart, Home Depot, Lowes, etc. They typically come in sheets about the size of index cards and can be round or square. They have sticky on the bottom. That black one is the sticky part left after the foot was knocked off.

You can use felt for the same purpose and they come on sheets also, usually right next to the rubber feet products.

This is an example: http://www.jameco.com/1/3/adhesive-rubber-feet

If you're talking about the adjustable hex head screw that is the pedal stop: Ace hardware

Another little tip for MCI's -- the little rubber ring used to hold the pull rods in place (as pictured) on the bell-cranks can perish over time - I just used a very small cable tie to replace them - making sure the square bit on the end was facing upwards so it didn't bind on another pull rod Very Happy

I did the same thing on my EMCI a while back. I also replaced all of the Phillips-head screws on the bellcranks with 6-32X5/8" allen head cap screws after I stripped the heads on a few of the stock ones. Also made knee lever extenders out of aluminum channel. All from the local hardware store and my father-in-law's workshop for next to nothing!
