My new 12-neck Stringmaster

A very rare find. A 12-neck Stringmaster in unused condition. Evidently it was special-ordered but the buyer never completed the arm-stretching exercises required, so he stored it under his bed. 8)

That would complement my 18 pedal Emmons nicely.

Noice! he said in his local VT accent.
I had one of those.
The first neck is the only one played with a bar. All the rest just put out sympathetic overtones.
I wrote a great instrumental for it specifically, titled "Cacophony".
Alternately - All the necks are on the same level so if you want you can tune them all for a very extended chord and play it with a six foot long bar. Playing slants in tune is challenging though. I've heard Jerry Byrd could do it though.

George,
I notice that one of the necks is set up for a left handed player. Or maybe he stands on the other side of the guitar! :whoa:

With a string length that long you need extra pedals. You certainly can't do many slants except high up the fingerboard.

From the photograph, it doesn't look to me like Duke Ching could reach the far neck.

beltbuckle is the word I think you were looking for, Jeff.
Being European this is not a style I'm familiar with. I hear that its good for strumming but the technique required to play harmonics really requires dextrous use of ones
