We should be able to play like a pro - in one week !

Post by Zeke Cory »

I thought this may make you all smile a bit. This guy says we should have been able to play this instrument on stage like a pro in one week. "A Total Breeze" I think he called it. I must have been a really slow learner cause it took me over a year to get on stage with a band, and even then my musical abilities were VERY limited to say the least. Getting your knees, hands, feet, and head to work together and separately is very challenging for a beginner, or any of us no doubt. I learned by kind of getting thrown in the water and having to swim. But ... one week? Just wanted to see what you all had to say about this. Check this out. Here on Yahoo search - Pedal Steel Guitar 4 The Guitar Player Lessons Scott Grove . I must also add after watching the whole video - Humility is an important virtue to possess!

Dont know how i missed it in the past. I see others have already found it educational as well. Guess I missed the bus on this one. Interesting however.

Well, if that's the case, I can only surmise this guy (Mr. Grove) has only been playing a few hours.

He said he was "a great teacher.".

Then he went on to say that "you can watch Paul Franklin. He's a great player. But is he a great teacher? I don't know."

I really enjoyed the laugh when he listed what you would need. The first thing was a steel guitar "HA HA HA". Kind of hard to play one without one. I wonder how much money he is taking in.

I watched the "Life Turned Her" video.

He just destroyed the world I'm living in. :(

Son, we live in a world with walls, and those walls have to be guarded by men with steel guitars. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Lt. Weinberg?

And to think I could have got all of that in one week for $12.00. Is smoking crack though one of the requirements? Can you attain a delusional state using other methods and still be on schedule of one week from nothing to center stage? All you guys that have spent years learning your craft and it was all there for $12.00 and that probably is negotiable. Sheesh

I'm sure glad I have a tuner that has the "C's, the F's, the C-sharps, the weird notes."

Not the worst steel player in the world - but he's just like him.

Give him his due, he sure can make that guitar whine. I bet he doesn't see any point in wasting his money on a tuner. I have just imagined what it would be like sitting in an audience at one of his gigs. Singing, playing steel guitar and talking about himself. AHHHHHRRRRRR.

No wonder he disables the comments on his YT submissions. :D :D
