Any experience with either of these units? Thinking about one or the other to use between a resonator piezo and amp.

For $20 more there is this:

A strong argument in favor of this cord is that the knob is rigidly attached to the guitar, therefore always close and in the same place when you reach for it. Also, it's one less item, since you don't need another cord.
The tone control is something I wouldn't use.

This topic belongs in Electronics.
It seems to me that a volume pedal would achieve the same results.

Another idea, John. Thanks for the link. I did an online search for that type of thing a few weeks back, didn't see it.
I was aware of the Neutrik plug for tone control, but I didn't find the one with Vol control.
I like the idea of it being fixed, but it's more costly, yes. Still, I think the tone control on the JP might be useful for me. We'll see.
Still interested in hearing from anyone using the John Pearse units.

Jerry, I can't speak to the Pearse product, but you might find this interesting. A couple of years ago I bought a used Tri-Cone that came with a pickup but no controls. I built this little box as a volume control.
Left: Top view -- Right: Bottom view with cover removed.
I probably could have built it out of stuff in my spare parts heap, but I used all new components from Radio Shack to get an idea of cost, which turned out to be less than $20. With a little bit bigger box, I could have had a tone control as well.
Brad, yes, a volume pedal works fine. I guess I just needed a little project to keep me busy. Anyway, HTH.

Cool idea Michael. I suppose I could build something like that, but I can buy the JP for about the same price the parts would cost particularly if I added a tone circuit too.
Nice looking unit you built there. Thanks for the tip.
Volume pedal is not what I want to use for a variety of reasons, and it wouldn't have a tone control anyway.
