Probably your best bet is eBay or Gbase.com - you won't find too many lap steel cases without the original lap steel in them. Good luck on your search!

Good luck on your continuing search. If you don't "support eBay" you're going to have a hard time finding what you want. This is a rare item to find without a guitar inside it.

Gbase.com might be helpful - try contacting some of the dealers who carry a Gibson BR-9 and see if they have a spare case lying around.

That is the correct case as it's identical to my BR9 case from the 50's...Brad is right... Ebay is the best place to find it..

Look at rifle bags. I bought this one: http://www.amazon.com/Uncle-Mikes-Law-E ... mikes+case , and it works great for my home made 8 string.

The auction I linked to earlier has closed with no bids. Try contacting the seller to see if they would sell you the case outside of eBay now that the auction's done.
Otherwise I expect to see this discussion refreshed a few more times. :)

Good luck on your search. I've offered several suggestions previously but you apparently haven't followed up on them.
Here's one with a body included for $125.

I will post a picture tomorrow of case I have with my BR-9. It is NOT for sale, but maybe someone could make you a case like it for yours.

Thanx,
Jim
