We wish to express our gratitude for the outpouring of sympathy from the many cards and letters. It is comforting to know that Mike was loved by so many. We will all miss him very much.

Sincerely,
Elise, Laura and Michele Auldridge

Thanks again for the post, Howard. I can only imagine that it's of some comfort in a time of such loss to know how widely and deeply Mike's influence has reached, and how many people have been inspired and touched by the beauty and gentle grace he brought to life and music. A true legend with an enduring legacy. I'm So glad I knew him.

I just signed on thinking of Mike and am glad to find this, having now lost so much of my family myself. Today I was playing at the steel and listening to Mike's recordings of our lesson. I was especially feeling the loss of a new-found friend who taught me. He was much else to the world. I extend to you, Mike's family, my condolence and my gratitude for my encounter with this kind man. The hardest thing isn't dying, it's losing ours that have. Be well.
