A customer recently brought in a Gibson lap steel in
what appears to be the original case. It is in good
working condition, pots are a little scratchy but
would probably clean up with spray. The customer
would like to sell it. What should it bring? Thanks
for your help.

Here's a recent discussion on For Sale:Steel Guitars that still seems valid today. Checking eBay, I see nine completed listings with prices ranging from $650 to $1400. Actual sales ranged from $708 to $900.

I always considered that model Gibson to be a student model.
Especially with the frets numbered.
I don't think it's worth anything close to the dollar numbers mentioned.

Thanks for all the input, gentlemen. It seems to be
worth more than I thought. We'll try it on the Forum
first so bOb can get the commission.
