Howdy Pardners,
Pete here from the downunder, the newest beginner pedalsteeler to be unleashed on the unsuspecting Australian public.
I have just purchased a Fender 10 string, 6 pedal, E9 tuned steel, and I need advice on a comprehensive instruction on the tuning and how to actually tune this beast.
Would some of you be so kind as to make appropriate suggestions.
Thank You Folks. Pete
[This message was edited by Peter Cummins on 05 January 2003 at 12:38 AM.]

Well Pete, it's a little limited (with no knee-levers and a 2-pull limitation). Nevertheless, here's a workable (Day) setup for the standard basic tuning...
P1...raises 4&5 a whole tone
P2...raises 1&6 a half tone
P3...raises 5&10 a whole tone
P4...lowers 5&10 a half tone
P5...raises 1 a whole tone, and 2 a half tone
P6...raises 4&8 a half tone
This doesn't give you "everything", of course, but you'd be surprised how much music you can play with no knee levers!

G'day mate.
do you really mean 6 pedals?...or maybe 3 pedals and 3 knee levers???
I had a Fender Artist(made by Sho Bud), and I never heard of one without any knee levers??? Mind you, just 'cause I haven't heard of it doesn't mean much!!
