My latest Country Classic dates back to 1963: "Distant Drums".
This song was written by Cindy Walker and was a big hit for Jim Reeves.
I was told that this was the last song recorded by Jim Reeves before his untimely death in a plane crash.

My latest Country Classic was written in 1964 by Bill Anderson: "Once A Day".
I usually associate this song with Connie Smith, however, over the years is has been recorded by such notables as:
George Jones
Martina McBride
Loretta Lynn
Glen Campbell
and Rhonda Vincent does an outstanding version of it.

This song was written by Don Everly in 1960.

I located a copy of "Statue Of A Fool" and tabbed it out last night.
I will put it in the mail for you today.

This song was written in 1962 by by Jan Crutchfield and Jack Greene along with Ricky Van Shelton have had some good recordings of it.
