Master musician Ed Gerhard looks on bemusedly as I (complete duffer) explain C6th tuning
to a group of potential customers for Bill Asher's lap steels.

Wonderful. Now post them as your avatar. None of you has reason to concern yourself about your appearance. Be proud of yourself. :)

It's easier playing the steel guitar, than it is to send a picture of me, playing the thing. Just picture an old hillbilly with overalls, whiskers, a camo-ball hat, settin' behind a black mica Emmons. Kinda like Charlie Daniels song once said, "Elvin Bishop settin' on a bale of hay, he ain't good lookin'........................... "

I have been playing 7 years and and am very lucky to have many opportunitys and great steel players to hang out with living in steel guitar mecca.
At seven years I am still pretty much of a hack but can baffle with B.S. on occasion.
Special thanks to my friend The COMMANDER Dave Goodman!!

I suggested Bo use one of his pictures from his younger days for his avatar.
The secret would be safe. Folks are excessively skeptical here on the forum and would not believe it even when they saw it with their own eyes.
