Tune of the Month November?

Ok, here is my version of White Christmas :

As you can hear, I was quite in a hurry as I worked a lot on it and never succeeded to make it sound as good as I could.

This is just great! I LOVE those "one guitar only" versions and that's what I'm trying to do since my second try at the tune of the month.

Tossing in another White Christmas. Not super polished but I gave it a go with two heads and a improv section in the middle.

I like it! As always, we can hear your signature style. I guess the idea behind "tune of the month" is to get something out fast without polishing it too much.

Once again, I'm humbled by this. Your tune was a kick in the ass for me to record my "wannabe Bill Hatcher" version of White Christmas.

That's nice for you to say. When I did that video I had been playing steel for a few months with no knowledge of blocking or proper bar technique or anything like that. That was all instinct (and pretty bad instinct I might add).

I've been taking lessons for a few months now, and I'm getting my steel sound together a bit. I hope to post my first real steel clip within month. 'So sorry we all had to suffer through that version of "White Christmas" in November, but maybe the next one(s) will be better.

Nate, here is a fast vid I made of White Christmas :

As you can see, everything happens on the second fret and the open strings. I use A7/C6 (lo to hi : c#-c-e-g-a-c-e-g). There are some mistakes. Also, I couldn't succeed in framing the vid to show my right hand, I'll work on that...

Thanks! I'm nowhere near being comfortable with Leavitt tuning yet, but there are some nice dominant-family chords to be had, even on just six strings.
