Roy, he's OK, he's just been raising cane on my forum, and he's always welcome to do so! Lord knows, I've raised enough on his forum!
By the way Roy, I mention your name in a very complimentary way in my new "thumb-style" teaching video. There is also a cameo appearence by Bob Saxton. GREAT thumb style player, as you all know. Seems to be a great number of players that love this style and want to learn to play well. Just like you play it well!

I was out of town for a while this week, but I did manage to lurk a bit each day.

b0b, glad to hear all is well and nice to have the Forum back again. I am sure it requires a lot of effort and attention.
Bobbe, thanks for the mention on your video.
I will have to have that for sure! You can consider this response an order if you wish.
I have finished my Fingerstyle course for E9th Standard tuning and it will be available soon. In the beginning it was difficult to convince myself at times that I was on the right track but after five years
of experimentation and practice I am confident that E9th Fingerstyle is a reality.
Two things held me on the path:
1.Many of us play the E9th Standard tuning.
2.The challenge to present a Fingerstyle option incorporating the standard E9th pulls/sounds, speed pickin licks etc, all on the favourite neck of most players.
It is also different!
My course will incorporate a Book of Tab and
accompanying CD and it is my hope that it will augment all you have done and what you and Bob Saxon are doing to promote this style of playing on Steel Guitar.
I firmly beleive, as you do, that it offers another additional dimension to the presentation of our favourite instrument.

I should mention also that many people who I sent sound clips to during the trial period offered a great deal of encouragement and the will to continue including Bobbee, b0b Lee, Al Marcus, Dean Neely, Buddy Emmons, Bill Nauman, Don Walters, Al Brisco, Doug Beaumier,Bob Taillefer etc. including Ronnie Haitt.

Roy's "Fingerstyle E9th" course (CD + tab) is currently being duplicated. It should be available here by the end of the month.
