An odd occurence has started to plague me...
When I engage my A and B pedals along with my E-F KL, then release them all (I play 'Day', by the way, so I'm raising 4&5 with my 'A') string 5 is a lttle sharp! Dabbing at the E-F KL corrects this, but that, of course, is working string 4!!!!
How can this be? What do you think is happening here - a need for lubrication or something more sinister?

Have you checked if it is simply over tuned yet ?
You know the drill for that one:
Back off all the end plate tuners (raises and lowers) till they don't do anything and then retune leaving a little slack in the rod.

| Roger string 5 is not getting back cause string 4 f raise on the same cross shaft needs may some slack. Just go to the cross rod by pedal rod and back the screw off a smidgon till the cross shaft has a tiny bit of slack when you wiggle the bell crank, |

Thanks, guys - I'll flip her over tomorrow. I'm just surprised that this should suddenly start happening; I haven't touched anything myself.
If I try the same thing with my C pedal (your 'A'?) and the F-lever, there's no problem. With the 'problem' pull it's uncanny - it's almost exactly a half-step sharp (string 5) after I let off my A pedal (your C). If I hit the F lever again it'l returns to pitch.

Roger, for ease of discussion, the A, B and C pedals retain their names by their functions, but a Day player has them arranged C-B-A
