I'd like to find a keyboard gig bag or soft case that will fit my Emmons D-10, and another smaller one for the legs and pedal rack. I don't need a great deal of protection, just something to put n the backseat and take to gigs.
Any suggestions?

Gator makes a good one with and without wheels. You can find them at Amazon.com or on eBay occassionaly. I've used one for several years and they are really durable and protect the steel very good.

Nick Reed (a forumite) has a bag he uses with an Emmons PP. Not sure exactly what it is. Maybe he'll see this and post what he has.

Personally, I'll never use a gig bag again. Many years ago, there was a load shift on the way to a gig, that ruined my guitar. It wasn't the most expensive guitar in the world, but it was all I had at the time.

I can understand what your saying Rick, but I only use the gig bag when I'm transporting my guitar in a way where it is isolated and safe from other equipment shifting.

If you want to ruin your steel, put it in a gig bag. Russian roulette.

Kevin it is perfectly safe if placed on rear seat of your own car,and carried in and out of gig by yourself, flight case is used for ALL other travel, think your view might be coloured by the fact you make cases (very good ones by the way).

Think guns, bowhunting etc. Both hard and soft. Keyboards...

Yes Malcolm, as I stated in my post, it would just be for a safe ride in the backseat.

Cartwright, I use an old Carter Starter gig bag padded with two inch heavy duty foam, I also lined bottom and sides with cardboard cut to shape to firm it up, this added practically no weight,I put pedal rack and legs in separate shotgun style case, makes a fantastic difference in weight.

For as little as I move my steel around anymore, a gig bag is a good solution for me. I have a keyboard bag for the steel and a separate bag for the legs and pedal bar. Cut about 25 lb of case weight.
