Queensland.............
Several years ago, I purchased a six string Ric from a lady in Queensland, Australia. She was some kind of tour guide in that area.
Any additional info' on the original Rics that went South?

G'day Ray, I believe I've found another Rick owner & former student of Les Adams who is quite likely to have one of the 6.
A young lady of 94 living in Melbourne by the name of Joan Holt.
Les Adams & his band played on cruise ships crossing the Pacific between Oz & the US for some years during part of his career.
I've been informed that he brought 6 Ricks to Oz in 1938 most likely on a return voyage.
You can see a small article on Joan by scrolling down to "Points of Interest" here.

Sadly, that's the sum total of my knowledge about the history of these 6 guitars. Hope it helps.
Cheers, Allen
