Which tuning did Paul Franklin start on??

Just for my own curiousity, does anyone know which tuning or neck did Paul start on first?

Just in case they ever add this question to Trivial pursuit music edition 8)

If I recall from an interview, he played non-pedal lap steel first and then got a 3 pedal steel. On the lap I do not know. For PSG, I would assume E9, I could be assuming wrong though.

I interviewed Paul for Guitar Player Magazine a few years ago, and there's some info about his first guitars in the article.

Whats more important is what the hell tuning is he going to finish up on  He has more levers and pedals than an F1 car has gears
