Just tho't I'd share a photo of how BIG TIME RADIO was done in those golden years, decades ago.

Pictured is GRADY MARTIN on his Bigsby standard guitar. Next is their great FENDER amp, up on a chair as they always were in those days, with a WSM Radio Station mike on the floor in front of it. The feller with the BIGSBY single neck lap steel is none other than teenage Grand Ole Opry musician BILLY ROBINSON.

The tone Billy used to get out of that guitar and amp combo has NEVER BEEN MATCHED! Great music, and great playing. He was only about 18 years old. Red Foley paid him $25.00 per week more to sound like Jerry Byrd; a figure that was more than Foley had been paying Jerry Byrd........to play and sound like Jerry Byrd. How 'bout that?

Ray I don't have a windows live ID so I guess I'm out of luck with this. Sounds like it may be interesting.
Oh Well anyway how far back does that go?
I'm pretty old and I can't remember back past Art Linkletter, Arthur Godfrey, Amos 'n' Andy and the song "Mares eat oats and does eat oats and little lambs eat ivy." !

The pix is of Grady & Billy on stage during a Prince Albert portion of the Grand Ole Opry. Billy looks to be about 18-19 years old, just as he is today.

They're playing thro' a Fender Twin-Reverb, the early model that everyone wanted.

Those were the days..........
