Sierra Artist Levers

Post by Brian Henry »

Can anyone tell me the best way to lengthen my Knee levers. When I try to use them in conjunction with the foot pedals the top of my knee just brushes under the bottom of the lever. I am sure that I am not the only one who has experienced this problem. By the way I love this guitar but must have these levers lengthened.

If you're having that much trouble, it seems to me that you should shorten the guitar legs instead.

I had the same problem with an Artist... I ordered some shorter pedal rods from Sierra, and adjusted the length of the front legs with the grub screw (if that's what you call it in the US).
I also had someone with metal working equipment extend the adjustment slot in the back legs so that the steel can still be made level. The advantage of doing what I did is that the steel looks normal and can be converted back easily to the standard Sierra height. I agree it might be even easier to extend the levers somehow, though.
Good luck,
Dave.
