Will it work on a ZB

Post by Jimmy Gibson »

I have got a beautifull ZB D10 that works fine, but it looks an utter mess on the underside, and i was wondering if i could do away with the ZB cross shafts and pull rods and replace them with new cross shafts and bellcranks similar to a Sho-Bub.I only want to do this with the E9 neck,I know i will need adgusters on some of the pull rods to fine tune some of the strings because of the way the changer works ,That is not a problem because i have a load left from my old Sho-Bud Pro 1.Has anyone ever done this mod and how did it work out?thanks for any help you can give me.

Hi Jimmy -

I don't know if you've seen my post on the Forum already, but I'd love to know what the serial number on your ZB D-10 is and what the set-up is? I'm collecting research for a ZB guitar database.

Any help appreciated!
Cheers.

Jim,
You can use shafts, and still use 'swivel plates' to attach the pull rods to. Just make the ABC pedal cross shafts identical to the knee lever cross shafts.
