It is what it is. Cabinet Droop and all.

Also shown are the infamous "Knife Handle Knee Levers"

Shined up, cleaned up, ready for another ten years or so unmolested by nasty cleaning products... I even removed all the varnish and linoleum shavings from the leg ends, as well as the duct tape pedal rod markers. It hasn't been broken down in 15 yrs. Why start now?

If that's not enough to get you back here Ray, I don't know what else I can do....

Mine is a few years older, and it was nicely 'washed' when I bought it. No fancy knife handled knee levers, but it does have the old style 'wide' pedals.

WOW Eric! What a pretty blonde finish! So ´60s like... Don´t know why, but ever since I first read about your ProIII, I thought it had to be maroon or something... Is that original or did you re-finish it?
Also, the pickups on the E9 and C6 neck look different, what have you got in there?

Please do not be fooled by the looks of these pictures, this guitar is an absolute piece of junk, from end to end and top to bottom. No matter what Eric did to it you would not even waste your time to throw it in a fire. I saw this guitar 3 week ago and could not believe it.

Having said all of that about my good buddies guitar let me tell you Eric is a pickers pickers, he can play the fire out of the steel, even that old Shobud.

Eric I am at Jubitz tonight guess I will see you at 2:00 when you bring your stuff in to play the remainder of the week.

Can't wait to see your "new axe".

Yes, I refinished it. During transit in 78 it got water damage on the front and top. The Laquer started peeling off. I took it down to bare wood, and found a few "putty spots" that were blended in better with the dark color. I covered them with the hearts clubs etc, and the "custom emblem". It has started bowing in front a little bit, so if I EVER get a couple weeks off, I'm going to clamp it and put a couple internal braces on it. With all the other stuff thats's avilable, I might just stain it Blue Darlin' Blue, and put an original decal back there if I can find one. ( anybody know if they're available?)

The pickups were build by Danny Shields, and wrapped about as hot as he could about 15 yrs ago. I'm in the process of ripping my other guitar, "The Profesional" apart and redoing it with a bunch of knee levers, and come up with a remedy for the SR/SL end mechanism. I'm going to cut my own axle rods, weld on my arms, and use aluminum pivot "bearings", That one, I'm toying with trying to blend in a finish repair. Its not birdseye, but has some scrape marks on it. Also I'll be putting a 3d fretboard on it if possible.

I've thought about getting into a different guitar, an the MSAs look REAL nice, but it always has returned true, and haven't had a lick of trouble with it other than the fragile knee levers, which is why I use the "silverware"

In the end, I always realise that the guitar isn't what limits my playing....

LARRY. I wondered if you got out of that "care facility"....

I'm fitting it with a "Larry Behm Custom Music Stand" so tht even the most discerning of "Inquisitive Minds" can't tell whether I'm sitting up there playing "battle ship", pushing the "SyncButton", or Just What..

Apon reflection, it's probably all for the better, because it's possible that if i paid Too Much Attention to what you are trying to do up there on your "Crows Nest" I might have to end up having to sing too......

I hear there are "pneumonic memory systems" where you can actually visualize comical connections to song lyrics.....

You know, it was real nice to see Wes Bakken out the other day. Between the two of youse, you've got about everything that's playable covered. ( In your case, some that's just over "the edge".) Felix and I are you two guys' biggest fans.

Oh, and who the Hell says Fat Guys can't play Free Bird?....

I think the Statue of Limitations has long ago expired. I still worry about the latest additions to my Coffee Cup Collection. I liked the old MelMac ones they used to have at Jubitz. Glad I stocked up.

The Chicken, pore old Chuck, is in the freezer, preparing for his Resurection at Thanksgiving. I came home one day and found his feet laying on the dish drainer. I was kind of stunned, and immediately thought "Sh##! Chuck must've got in an accident!" I soon surmised that he was "Pretty F333in far from 'Alright'". The neighbors complained and we have a "No Rooster" city ordinance. The wife cut his head off and plopped him plucked and cleaned in the freezer. ( gulp).. I'm sleeping a lot lighter these days.....

The old P3 just seems to keep on ticking... new SITs. They should last ten years or so.

Oh, and I think, Larry that the main difference between Sho~Buds and the Emmons' is that for some reason the Emmons' seem to burn a little longer.

Sierras seem to burn the fastest, but leave the largest puddle of aluminum.

I wonder if the new Graphite sandwiched rigs need accelerant.....

Reminds me that when my parents bought little chickens to raise for laying hens, a few roosters always got up in the box by mistake. We couldn't tell the males from the females until they got big enough to crow....so everytime one of them started to crow he ended up in the pot for Sunday dinner.

Seeing your photo of that classic pan reminded me that today we are having probably the last 70 degree day until March...so I just got back from exercising the softtail! Today was one of those days that you just want to keep on going!

Last night I heard/saw Eric and his recently hosed-off Bud. You gotta hear this ole boy. He can wrestle that steel and those reverb knobs like Bull Ramos. He even put new strings on! Maybe he's turning a new leaf as a result of Chuck's untimely demise. Better sleep with one eye open there pal. Cleaning up the Bud may not be enough. Lest we not forget Larena and the knife!
